A Sacred Retreat

Buena Vista, CO | September 2027

Four days to slow down, listen deeply, and return renewed.

There are seasons when what we need most isn’t another thing to accomplish, figure out, or improve.

We simply need space—to step outside the pace and responsibilities of everyday life, breathe a little more deeply, hear ourselves again, and listen for what God may be inviting us to notice.

Women Who Rest: A Sacred Retreat is an intimate four-day, three-night experience in the Colorado mountains for women who are ready to step away from the noise, reconnect with what matters most, and experience the gift of truly slowing down.

The SURF HOUSE | Buena Vista, CO

Sunday, September 26th, 2027 - Wednesday, September 29th, 2027

Limited to 10 women.

Maybe what you need isn't more.

→ Maybe you need less.

Less noise. Less rushing. Less tending to everyone and everything around you. And a little more room to simply be.

→ To wake without immediately thinking about what needs to be done. To linger over coffee. To walk beside the river. To breathe, pray, journal, laugh, share a beautiful meal—or sit quietly long enough to hear your own heart and God.

→ Maybe you're longing to feel more present for the people you love. To notice what your body is telling you. To remember what brings you joy. To feel a little less hurried within your own life.

→ This retreat is an invitation to step out of your ordinary rhythms for four sacred days and make space for all of it.

Because you don't necessarily need a different life. You may simply need some space to remember how you want to live the one you already have..

Four days to rest, reconnect & listen.

→ Our time together will gently weave together meaningful conversation, Christ-centered breathwork, guided reflection, prayer, time in nature, and plenty of unhurried space.

→ There will be moments when we gather. And there will be space when you won't be expected to do anything at all.

→ Because this retreat isn't about filling your days with activities. It's about creating enough space to notice what emerges when you finally slow down.

→ You may leave with greater clarity about the season ahead, a deeper connection with God, a renewed awareness of what your body and soul need, or simply the feeling of having been deeply rested and cared for.

→ You don't have to know exactly what you need from these four days. You simply have to be willing to make room for it.

A PLACE MADE FOR EXHALING

Nestled along the Arkansas River in the mountain town of Buena Vista, The Surf House feels made for this kind of gathering.

European-inspired rooms, cozy fireplaces, riverfront porches, inviting living spaces, mountain views, and the sound of the river create a setting that feels both elevated and deeply restorative.

With the house reserved for our intimate group, we'll have beautiful spaces to gather together—and plenty of places to retreat when you're craving quiet.

Beyond the house, there’s plenty to explore if you feel like venturing out—beautiful hiking trails, nearby hot springs, spa experiences, and the charming town of Buena Vista. Or you can stay right where you are, curl up beside the fire, sit by the river, and do absolutely nothing at all.

A Gentle Rhythm to Our Time Together

This isn't a retreat where every hour will be scheduled.

Instead, our time together will follow a thoughtful rhythm of gathering and spaciousness—giving you opportunities for connection, reflection, and meaningful experiences without rushing from one thing to the next.

BEFORE WE ARRIVE — BEGIN

Before the retreat, we'll gather virtually to meet one another, set our intentions, and begin creating space for the experience before we ever leave home.

SUNDAY — ARRIVE & EXHALE

Arrive in Buena Vista, settle into your room, and begin letting go of the pace you've left behind.

We'll gather for a Welcome Reception to reconnect, settle in, and ease into the slower rhythm of retreat.

MONDAY — REST & RECONNECT

Wake slowly and enjoy breakfast on your own before we gather for guided reflection, Christ-centered breathwork, meaningful conversation, and intentional practices designed to help you reconnect with yourself and God.

The day will also include plenty of spacious time for lunch on your own, walking, journaling, exploring Buena Vista, resting, or simply doing nothing at all.

TUESDAY — LISTEN DEEPLY

As the noise begins to settle, we'll create even more room for listening—to your body, your heart, and God.

Our time together will include guided experiences balanced with generous space for solitude, prayer, reflection, nature, and rest.

On either Monday or Tuesday evening, we'll gather around the table for a special group dinner together, included with your retreat.

WEDNESDAY — RETURN

Our final morning is an opportunity to reflect on what you've received, consider what you want to carry home, and gently transition back into everyday life.

The goal isn't to return home with more to do. It's to return with greater clarity about how you want to live.

AFTER WE RETURN — INTEGRATE

A few weeks after the retreat, we'll gather virtually once more to reconnect, reflect on what has shifted, and explore how to carry what you experienced into the rhythms of everyday life.

MEET YOUR guide

Hi, I’m Julie! IT’S NICE TO MEET YOU!

I know what it’s like to build a full life and then realize you’ve become so busy managing it that you’ve lost some of your ability to simply experience it.

For years, I was accustomed to being the one who could handle a lot. And I could—until my body began telling me that the pace I was living was no longer sustainable.

Learning to slow down changed the way I relate to my body, my relationships, my work, my faith, and ultimately, the way I experience my life.

I’ve also learned that sometimes we need to physically step outside our everyday environment before we can hear what’s been trying to get our attention.

That’s why I created this retreat. Not as an escape from your life, but as a sacred pause within it.

My hope is that you return home not with a long list of things to change, but with greater clarity about what matters, a deeper connection with God and yourself, and a renewed sense of how you want to live the life that’s already yours.

I’d be honored to share these four days with you.

— Julie
